University of Uyo Swears in New Student Union Government's Executive Council

Sequel to the just concluded University of Uyo’s Student Union Government (SUG) election that ushered in newly elected officials to steer the affairs of the Nigerian students, all roads led to Onyeama Ugochukwu Auditorium on 17th of April, 2014 for the swearing in/ inauguration of the 2013/2014 executive council of SUG, University of Uyo. The occasion had in attendance The Vice-Chancellor of University of Uyo, Mrs. Comfort Memfin Ekpo; The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Okon Ansa; The Registrar and Secretary to the Senate of the University of Uyo, Mrs. Edak Umondak; The Bursar, Mr. Iseneyen represented by Elizabeth Anyanga; Dean of Students; The Chief Security Officer, Lt. Col. Mbang and the Administrator of the Oath, Barr. Kokom Udofia. Other dignitaries in attendance were: Comrade Ini Ememobong; The Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Students’ Matters; Ubon Marcus, NANS Vice-President/Special Duties; immediate past SUG president, Lucky-Imoh Inyang; Former Speaker of the SUG parliament, Rt. Hon. Ekop Ini; Barr. Ekong Ekong, the father to the newly sworn- in President-Ndianabasi Ekong, and a reasonable number of the University of Uyo students, some members of the general public and of course 2479ja.tv news crew. The oath of office was administered by Barr. Kokom Udofia on the newly elected executive council of the Student Union Government led by Ndianabasi Ekong. At the occasion, speeches were made by the immediate past President, the newly elected President and the Vice-Chancellor.
